Image description Edmond has 22 years of experience in the EDA industry as a consultant, engineering manager and engineer. Edmond was the founder of Narrow Gauge EDA which provided engineering services for ASIC library development and ASIC physical design. Edmond developed the Artisan Components COT training workshops and was the principal instructor. Edmond worked for 10 years at Cadence Design Systems in the areas of IC place & route and layout automation technology. He was the original author of automatic physical cell modeling software for Cadence Silicon Ensemble. He won numerous awards at Cadence for engineering contributions and outstanding customer support. Edmond has a MSEE and BSEE from Texas A&M University and is a member of Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society.


Fred Obermeier, Ph.D.

Fred has 23 years of experience in the EDA industry and is well-know in the area of circuit characterization and performance modeling. Fred was an independent consultant and principal of Obermeier & Associates where he provided circuit design services and developed the core technology for Z CIRCUIT products. Fred was a principal engineer at MicroUnity Systems Engineering. He designed high-performance circuits and developed characterization software and flows for digital circuits. Fred worked at Cadence Design Systems prior to MicroUnity where he was the principal architect for automatic cell characterization development. Fred has a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration from U.C. Berkeley. He also has an MSCS from U.C. Berkeley with honors and BSEE from Univ. of Cincinnati, summa cum laude. Fred's dissertation was entitled "An Open Architecture For Improving VLSI Circuit Performance".
